Content Creation Guide
Welcome to Hypno-Files.com, a place to share and download hypnosis files. If you would like to become a content creator for the site, here are a few things to help you on your way.
(File Types)
There are five file types that most files fall under: Hypnosis, Subliminal, Looping, Binaural, and ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response).
Hypnosis
An advanced state of relaxation that allows the hypnotist to communicate with your inner mind. It usually consists of an Induction (putting the listener in a trance), a Body (what you want the listener to do/feel), and an Awakening (waking the listener from the trance).
Subliminals
A subset of hypnosis that works by subconsciously feeding the listener hypnotic suggestions without putting them into a trance. This is usually near silent or played under music, such that the hypnotist's voice can barely be heard, thus communicating directly with the subconscious mind.
Looping
A repetitive presentation of a concept that, when played in succession, works to lock the concept into the listener’s conscious and subconscious mind.
Binaurals
Usually combined with other forms of hypnosis. It uses a combination of frequencies (one for each ear) that deepens trances but must be listened to using headphones.
ASMR
An auditory sensory experience where a combination of sounds and/or close, soft-spoken words cause sensations on the body when heard.
These file types can be used in conjunction with one another to heighten the experience of the listener.
(What a File Needs)
A file requires a number of things in order to work. It requires:
- Induction: Puts the listener in a trance (specifically for Hypnosis files)
- Body: The content you wish to give the listener
- Awakening: Awakens the listener from trance (for Hypnosis files)
- Title: A title to catch a reader's attention
- Description: Explains what the file is for and captivates interest
- Category: Which category the file goes under
- Language: The language the file is in
- Voice Type: Human or Artificial
- Gender: The gender of the voice
- Effect: Whether the file’s effect is permanent, temporary, only while under, includes triggers, affects dreams, or is a curse
- Audience: The intended audience
- Tags: Descriptive keywords
- Price: What the file costs
(What a File Wants)
These aren't required, but we prefer files to have:
- Script: A transcript of the file for the listener
- Time Stamps: Listing when Induction, Body, and Awakening occur
- Trigger Warnings: List of possible triggering topics
(Posting from other sites)
If you own your own website you can post those files here, as long as you have the rights to do so, and you follow the creation guidelines as well as these additional stipulations.
- Teasers: You must post complete hypnosis files, teasers will be deleted.
- Links: You may include links to your own website as long as they are after the description and never in the title.
(Recommendations)
We recommend the following for our content creators:
- Pricing: We provide a pricing guide based on file length, but you ultimately control the price
- Environment:If you have a recording environment then that is the best way to go. If you do not, then we recommend finding the quietest place you can to record in.
- Recording: We recommend speaking slowly and clearly. The more relaxed you are, the more relaxed the listener will be. We also recommend writing out your script in order to help you stay on track.
- Equipment:
- Microphone: Recommended Microphone
- Software: Audacity (Free Editing Software)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do the files work for everyone?
These are generic files. They will not work the same for everyone. Some files may not work at all on some people, while others may work surprisingly well.
Do the files work immediately?
Only for those who are more suggestible. Your best bet is to listen to a file several times over several days. The effects can be subtle and may sneak up on you. Many users have shared that they thought a file wasn’t working—until they realized later that it was.
I'm new to this, what should I know?
If you're new to hypnosis, don’t expect immediate results. Start with basic induction files several times to get used to entering trance, then move on to more advanced ones.
The file I’m trying isn’t working. What should I do?
Try easier files like TrigFreeze. Listen, then test. Don’t fight it—you're training yourself to be more responsive. Extreme files like curses may take multiple listens. Success often depends on your desire for the effect to work.
What can I do to make the files work better?
Choose a time when you're relaxed and unlikely to be distracted. Many users find early morning or just before bed best. Repeating what's being said as you listen can also help with focus.
What is it like when you go into a trance?
Trance experiences vary widely. You may feel light or heavy, hot or cold, relaxed or tense. Some users experience visual, auditory, or physical sensations. Your experience may be different each time.
What is a "curse" file?
A curse file is designed to be resistant to removal (including by the DeprogramAll file). These are more permanent and harder to undo than standard training files.
Can you recommend some sources for learning hypnosis?
Yes! Try www.hypnosis.com, or check your local library. Here are some recommended books:
- Hypnotherapy by Dave Elman
- Monsters and Magical Sticks by Steven Heller & Terry Steele
- Look Into My Eyes by Peter Masters
Books by Richard Bandler and John Grinder:
- Trance-formations
- Structure of Magic (Vol. 1)
Books about/by Milton Erickson:
- My Voice Will Go With You
- Hypnotic Realities
- Experiencing Hypnosis
- Phoenix: Therapeutic Patterns of Milton Erickson
- Patterns of the Hypnotic Techniques (Vols. 1 & 2)
Other related books:
- Influence by Robert Cialdini
- Prometheus Rising by Robert Anton Wilson
Do subliminal files really work?
The research is mixed. Some users report strong effects, others none at all. The jury is still out.
I listened to a file I didn’t want to work. Can I remove the effect?
Yes, there are a few options:
- If it’s a curse file: You can email support@hypno-files.com and pay $50, or find a local hypnotist to remove it.
- If it’s not a curse: Use the DeprogramAll MP3 to remove the effect.
Is this safe?
All files do only what their description says. If you get overwhelmed, there are files that can help remove effects. Ultimately, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis and only works if your mind allows it to.
I heard some people can't go into a trance. Is that true?
Almost everyone can be hypnotized—with a few medical exceptions. Some may need more time or a different induction method. Try various inductions to find what works best for you.
Is there a way to get alerts when new files are added?
Yes. If you favorite a file, a pop-up will offer to notify you when that author posts new content. Or use the “My Notifications” button in your profile to manage file-type alerts.
